Film 21: letterboxd.com/sareini/film...

A curly-haired moppet is the bane of so many Italian horror films.

Somehow, I didn't hate this movie, at all.

(Movie 20 in the 100 Horror Films in 92 Days challenge.)

Today's (first?) movie: letterboxd.com/sareini/film...

Two-and-a-half hours was too long for me today and I kept getting distracted.

Been looking after my brother's cat this week. He is very grateful for the company. #proofofcat

At the beginning of the month, on a whim, I decided to do the 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days challenge that was on Letterboxd. What the hell, I was trying to watch more horror movies (or stuff in general) anyway. My personal twist on it is that most films I watch are from my watchlist, set to Shuffle.

I took Callie to the vet on Monday, because she's been vomiting more than her usual once every 2-3 months lately and after three years of Lily with her cholangiohepatitis I have some very specific cat vomit PTSD. Got told to put her on the "bland" diet for a bit and that she weighs a whole 4.5kg.

I am (re)-watching Universal Soldier (yes, the one with JCVD and Dolph Lundgren). The UniSols are reanimated soldiers who are regularly injected with a neon green glowing liquid to keep them going.

...is this an unofficial sequel to Re-Animator? Did Dr Herbert West finally get military funding?

This weekend I'm cat sitting for my brother. Look at this handsome idiot.

So, a couple of months ago my doctor flipped out over some of my blood test numbers (yeah, they were high, yes it was my own fault, but I have times in my depression where I don't give a flying fuck what I eat, so...) Dr wanted me to go to A&E; myself and A&E disagreed. Got an urgent appt instead.

Today is Callie's birthday. She is nine years old (where does the time go?) and would really like another Churu Roll that she doesn't have to share with her sister. #proofofcat

Somehow, I have become known within my neighbour group (we all have flats in the same property) as the one who knows the law, and that's why I've just spent two hours researching implied rights and prescribed rights in relation to communal spaces and shared access.

Other things Dillon has done this weekend to give his mother (my niece) grey hair:

- run head-first into the open fridge door and sent himself flying

- pulled the Shoe Storage of Doom down on his head

and...

Just offered Dillon "Cake, or death?" for dessert.

He chose death, and quite excitedly at that.

A Hallmark movie only it’s two disillusioned horror monsters exhausted by high-stress big city life who jointly inherit a bed and breakfast and move back to their small, rural home town, which they slowly depopulate all while rediscovering their joy of murder and falling in love with each other.

Callie just caused my soul to briefly leave my body when I found her struggling to stand and walk on my desk. One or both of her legs on one side just weren't holding her weight, and she kept falling over onto that side. My brain immediately goes to "Stroke!" I make a panicked call to a 24-hour vet.

So for a month or two now, myself and the three friends I play games like Lethal Company with have gotten together on Friday nights to watch a movie. November-December it was Hallmark Christmas movies; now it's musicals. Last week it was Wicked. This week I got to choose, so I chose... Rockula.

You’ll probably see this screenshot floating around a lot but it really was wonderful to see Lynch put a scene in Twin Peaks: The Return where he has his character literally stare at the camera and say that you should either support trans people or die. I needed to hear that in 2017

I've spent the past week and a half, or thereabouts, repeatedly going back to a daily Minesweeper challenge that was ranked as "Expert", determined to complete it one way or the other. And now that I have finally managed it, it's like I've lost all purpose in my life.

The doctor and all the nurses who performed the procedure (ablated me?) were all wonderful and put up with my diazepam-fuelled wittering with nary a word of complaint. A++, would have microwaves pulsed through me again.
