My nephews have sent me a whole 2 requests for Xmas. So they’re getting them. One is a hs senior, other home between undergrad and grad school, so in the practical or $$ phase.

Ivy really did take under Loki’s wing. She’s got her own weirdness, but she’s taken on his lörg waterbottleness cuddler role in the years since his passing. She’s a lap cat despite her touch hypersensitivity. (But I can make her purr just talking to her.)

Last year, I’d ascribed it to a discarded fancy washer(which was chiming! Really!) but what are the odds? Scooter maybe?

Aaaanyway, I turned 50 this summer & oddly have been getting more male attention than I probably ever had in my younger years & it’s weird & unsettling & not really welcomed.

So I’d been composing my bus stop “flirty” senior encounter & here’s the thing: actually processing it into a narrative, I got mad. Mad that it was on me to set boundaries, mad they (& this includes the women involved) feel both like this is normal & 1/n
