Today the universe reconnected in a tiny way. When I was born my godmother gifted me a small plump sheepskin pig from South Africa where she still lives. Pinky pig was lost at sea on an overnight ferry to France when I was 7 or 8 & it was, as you’d expect, heartbreaking. But my mum 1/2

Big Congrats to the #Carnegie longlisted authors & illustrators. So proud of Viv Schwarz,the illustrator of our picturebook for her initial nomination & although this journey has ended I want to say a very big thank you to the wonderful librarians who do such a wonderful & difficult job 🤩
