I think the best path to getting our demands met is with a general strike - protests are good, boycotts are better but still not enough. A critical step towards general strike is to unionize your workplace or join and be active in your union. If you don't know where to start try workerorganizing.org

Apparently saying "Free Palestine" in my bio makes me antisemitic. Let me be clear: Jewish people, just like all people, deserve to be safe and happy. Palestinian people also deserve to be safe and happy. My beef is with the state of Israel, IDF and anyone actively contributing to oppression.

If you are an employer, and you're making profits, but your workers are on food stamps - you're not smart, you're not "good at business," you're just selfishly cheating a system that gives you the power to exploit. Why would we think people like this deserve to make decisions about our economy?

This is what the trolley problem really looks like. Capitalists control the levers of power. Every time they cut corners on safety measures, every time they lobby against safety or environmental regulations, they are choosing their own profits over YOUR health and safety. This is not a just system.

Capitalists have an influence on US politics you and I can only dream of, and they use it to further enrich themselves at the expense of society and the environment. Our system is by the wealthy for the wealthy, it's got to go.
Oil and gas companies use a loophole in California tax law they lobbied for the 80s, which cost the state $146M in lost revenues last year. That money could go into wildfire resilience and mitigation, given climate change induced increase in fire season length.

They are here to protect private property, maintain the state's monopoly on violence, patrol and harass anyone of lower caste (poor BIPOC queer), push people into the prison industrial complex to be used as cheap labor.

For-profit health care is so dumb. Humana decided to drop my oncologist so I had to get a new Med Adv plan. Found one that covers my onco and PCP, but I have to find a new psychiatrist because even though she *is* covered she's in a diff medical group than the other two. M4A would fix this shit!
