I got in the car and just drove. I've not done that in months. I like it. So, this lunchtime I find myself in Cwmbran, looking in an excellent (and very busy) fancy dress shop, properly giggling to myself about some of the stuff on offer. (There was food fancy dress, but no potato 😟)

Ate out with book club gang*. Didn't fancy the mains. So had two starters and a side as my main. A good call. And the waiter didn't flinch at my request, which made me happy. Would definitely tapas things up again.

Was briedfly alone with my brother's dog today. She has me sussed. It took her about two minutes to give a little bark, walk out to the kitchen, making me follow her, look at me, bark, look at where her food's stored, look at me, look at her bowl, then at me and bark again. 🐶😆

Informative (though overwhelmingly busy) Cartier exhibition at the V&A. Soft shell crab and salmon bento, and excellent service, at Dozo, South Kensington. Happy, happy.

Lovely walk into work. A woman walking some way in front of me was stopping to feed crows. One crow kept following her, hiding as she fed others, then swooping in for the spoils. 😆🐦⬛

It was SO exciting being near the finish line at the Tour of Britain today. Brilliant atmosphere. Lots of cowbells, general noise, flags. People watching my YouTube feed of the race before it arrived, yelling "Is that Remco catching the breakout?" in my ear. I am exhausted from it all.
