The sad thing is that RFK Jr has somehow made people interested in the quality of drinking water but instead of channeling that concern towards PFAS & micro plastics he's got everyone worried about fluoride. Like FFS how did you get everyone to care about water but for the completely wrong reasons?

One silver lining to our house burning down is that we are so much closer with our neighbors as we rebuild. We share resources, work together to solve tricky drainage/fence/driveway issues, and overall just support each other. The block is going to be so cool when we’re all finally back.

PSA: the CDC has a program that pays for your COVID vaccine if your insurer won't. The guy at CVS told me that my insurer had not added the new vaccine to its formulary yet, so I'd need to pay $190. I told him about this program, showed him the website, and paid nothing. 🤗

Set the bar high for the school year by prepping weekly batches of breakfast burritos that my 16 y/o can heat up and quickly eat before zero-hour jazz band at 0730. The one day I hadn’t gotten around to a new batch, he called me at work to ask what he was supposed to eat 🙃

One of my favorite things to document in a social history is the name of a patient’s pet. Last night I heard the very best cat name yet & it made me love the delightful family all the more. Sometimes it’s the little things that help me stay engaged in a job with so much potential for disconnection.
