Anyway I have some extremely happy personal news to share once I am finished petting Emma
Emma is a greyish tabby cat with big pointy ears and a stripey head. In this photo you can see the back of her head. I am petting between her ears (as I spend 10 to 15 hours per day doing). My hand is pale and covered in white swirling tattooed patterns. I am wearing an engagement ring with a swirling band that matches my tattoos and a kite-cut emerald.

Dinner tonight was pomegranate-glazed roasted kabocha squash over chile-sesame goat cheese. This dish isn't Eggs Bellwood in any way, but it shares ancestry with @lubellwoo.bsky.social's stunner of a recipe. I love that these dishes get to be family.

oh wow you'll never guess who has FINALLY broken into the bot-generated "book marketing" scam arena
this is a screenshot of part of a bot-generated spam / scam email campaign, similar to hundreds of others I have gotten in the past month. The text is only a fragment and what you can see is part of the generic "I came across your book on Amazon, and I want to help you market it" pap. The final line reads "I specialize in creating cinematic book trailers". The sender name is... Veronica Roth.

Totally flooded with gratitude for everyone who has made this book tour incredible. The booksellers and readers and friends and interlocutors and Tor Team who made this all wonderful -- thank you so, so much. My heart is bursting.
Me and Gabino Iglesias at Book People. I am holding a mic and a copy of SPREAD ME. My shoes look like if loafers could be orthopedic mountains. We are both wearing all black. I would say my arms look kinda jacked, but i am next to gabino, who is truly yoked beyond compare.
