MS is a very tough state for Dems not just because of its lean but because there's very limited party infrastructure.

The winning candidates did a ton of hard work, and groups like Sister District helped step into the breach. A great example of why Dems should never give up even in red states!
Overlooked in deep-red Mississippi: Democrats *broke* the GOP's supermajority in the state Senate last night thanks to new maps that were created following successful litigation under the VRA.

And those maps worked, as three more Black Dems will join the legislature.

A NC #Republican just signaled they may redraw congressional maps. We’ve seen this playbook before: #gerrymander the maps, silence #voters, cling to power. Dems can’t afford to just play defense; we need to build lasting power in state legislatures. ncnewsline.com/2025/09/25/n...

#NewMexico is the first state in the nation to guarantee no-cost #universalchildcare.

It’s no coincidence the state has a #DemocraticTrifecta and, as of last year, a majority-women legislature.

When we elect #Democrats who truly reflect our communities, we can deliver real change for families.

This November, #Mississippi voters will finally have a chance at fairer representation. #SpecialElections will be held under new maps that better reflect communities denied power for too long.

While the government #shutdown continues, families and working people bear the consequences.

But as dysfunction in #Washington drags on, states are once again taking decisive action.

Last night, Republicans lost their supermajority in the Iowa Senate.

Catelin Drey flipped one of the most conservative districts in the state, a seat Trump won by over 11 points.

This should be a turning point for Democrats everywhere.

I’m so proud of Dems in the #TexasStateLegislature for refusing to back a gerrymandered map rigging the midterms for House Republicans.

Even in deep red states, Democrats are showing courage and conviction and fighting for our democracy.

Earlier this year, #Democrats won by double digits in an Iowa district that #Trump carried. It was a clear sign: even in traditionally red areas, there’s real potential…if we show up.

That’s why, for the first time, Sister District is endorsing in #Iowa!
