Of interest, perhaps, is that foxgloves are now a declared weed here in Tasmania, where they’ve become highly invasive, even spreading across some of our wilderness area. They were originally brought here from Britain by settlers who wanted to recreate the cottage gardens of ‘home’.

We haven’t been by sea since the Geelong terminal’s been open; is it relatively painless? There again, there seems to still be a problem getting a space for high vehicles like our Hiace campervan.

We have a microclimate on top of our hill here - is often cold and raining for us when it’s quite clear at the lower elevations! So I think we anyway get more than our fair share of rain.

I’m so over it. Rain, hail or snow on 23 days out of 30 in Sep; 23 days out of 31 in Oct…and now November is following suit. I’ve planted zero veggies this year, our patch is so waterlogged - even the above-ground beds.
