Felt like a good day to share this book again. I'm about halfway through and it's got trans lesbians and disabled rep (physical disability and autism) and while it's heavy it's a good book and well worth the read I think.

I always think a book bingo or read x books challenge would be fun. And then I remember I am unbelievably petty and oppositional the moment someone or something tries to tell me what I should do. I can barely keep up with a Fable book club.

I want y'all to know that someone wrote a review for a spicy monster book, titled "Audited by Anubis" (where Anubis is an IRS agent!) that said it was "too unrealistic."

I just need other people to know this with me.

oh sure when a character gets flashbacks it's vital life-altering information but when I get them it's every embarrassing thing I've ever said at a party

Tacos are tangible.
As a disabled person, I can 100% guaranteed I think and care WAY more about tacos than being “cured.”

Got Alice Isn't Dead as a xmas gift and it's SO good.
Did you know Night Vale creators Jeffrey and Joseph have written some incredible books outside the Night Vale universe? Enjoy the horror and mystery of Alice Isn't Dead. Or the unreliable narrator of You Feel It Just Below The Ribs. Find them all here: https://www.welcometonightvale.com/books

My ssdi is based on my part time jobs making as low as $6.10 an hour ($9 at the high end) because my disability happened when I was 20. I get a portion of that amount. I would have worked more but first I was in high school, then college, and then working while disabled.

Person: *looking for recs where the dom sapphic's sub is her ex-bully*
Me: Ooh that sounds so fun...wait I'm writing that. Is this a sign from the universe telling me to get my shit together?

Happy New Years! Here's all my 2024 reads, mostly novels with a couple novellas and one short story. It feels so good to be back into reading again, I legit got burnt out back when doing my English degree and the lack of good lgbtq books at the time. It's super nice to have so many more options now!

New book! Rainbow Crate Edition, one chapter in and it's already very good. Which is impressive for a first chapter.

Reading Phantasma rn and I'm legit trudging through at least four (so far) semi-okay hetero sex scenes to enjoy the surprisingly good OCD representation.

If I'm not being financially compensated for it, I don't want it cluttering up the rest of my junk mail.
what am I even supposed to do with data breach notifications at this point

"ah, yes, I'll just put that over here, with the rest of the data breaches"

a cartoon character with the words oh right the poison the poison for kuzco
Alt: Kronk from the emperor's new groove, an underrated masterpiece, saying "oh right the poison the poison for kuzco the poison chosen specially for kuzco kuzco's poison"

Working on my third person pov sapphic smut novella and as always, I'm reminded just why most people use first person pov for these.

It's just that I absolutely love third person but damn is it hard to make sure it's clear whose doing what when both use she/her pronouns.

I dont have anything out, but when I was in college, a professor "critiqued" my fantasy fiction piece as "too many women, not enough men, and why is the guy named a girl's name? And nobody wants to read from a villain pov." I have learned NOTHING!

Being a socially anxious chronically ill autistic extrovert means that I'm so down for plans to go out, but also can't guarantee them 100%, struggle if the plan changes, and need the timeline details to be perfect. Oh and I'm terrible at initiating them.

To those who followed me from FB...sorry not sorry at the amount of horny stuff you're probably gonna see. I take a high dose of wellbutrin and it's 100% true that it's the horny weight loss happy drug.

Started working on my steamy FF novella again, it was supposed to be a contemporary dark romance (with mafia and bully elements) and uh my hand slipped and now it's an urban fantasy/paranormal novella with a succubus falling in love with a wolf shifter. MY BAD.

heartbreaking: writer realizes that in order to write the book they vividly daydream about 24/7, they need to physically write the words even though they're so so sleepy all the time
