It’s wild disturbing how many people like that trooper are walking around literally looking for an excuse to yell at somebody and will manufacture one if they get the chance.

Our elections from 2020 to last week have become referendums on the economy. This is not a great sign for American democracy when that is the only measuring stick.

I just read up on the details Dem cave and I understand why people are super-pissed. A new CR would’ve had to have been crafted by the 21st (the deadline of the in-play, House-passed CR), meaning Dem leverage would have been at its highest. The Cave Caucus (TM @ddayen.bsky.social), true DINOs.
