Sometimes the falling of the leaves makes me feel a sense of dread at the coming winter. This year the colors are so gorgeous and I remember that each fallen leaf is one that gave energy to the tree so it can thrive again in spring.

Went to Antelope Island to be wrapped in silence and keep company with my thoughts in wide open spaces.

When lots in the world feels out of control, I find something concrete that I can make better. Today, I started a flower bed near the stump of a tree. I'll plant it with native wildflowers.
