My advice to friends in UK and Germany last week, in anticipation of coming Trump tariffs:
1. Stand firm. Preemptive concessions & weakness don’t work with Trump.
2. Don’t take the bait. Calm & steady.
3. Look for off-ramps. Offer to negotiate.
4. Stay united, at home & with partners.

It would be good for Americans to realize, before it's too late, that the anger in 🇨🇦 & other countries is not just due to Trump. He is the living embodiment of the Dennis Green Unified Theory Of 🇺🇸 Politics. What's making others rightly angry is that everyone else in 🇺🇸 is cravenly tolerating this.
