On Monday I presented at the online #APTIS25 conference alongside Kate Sotejeff-Wilson on 'Steps to bridge the divide between translation studies and professional practice', such as work placements and mentoring.

I’ve been translating professionally for 25 years! I started work in York in October 1999, then worked for two government departments in London.
I also started teaching translation 20 years ago, initially at Imperial College London and University of Surrey, went freelance, and so the story continues
