Quite odd that our national broadcaster took the decision mid-morning to wipe a straightforward announcement of the government's Animal Welfare Strategy which focused on reforming puppy breeding

and replaced it with headlines about chickens, shoving the original leading content 20 paragraphs down

US puts £31bn tech ‘prosperity deal’ with Britain on ice.

Trump doesn't honour agreements. It's about dominance.

Demands that UK ends digital services tax on US tech companies and it's food safety rules which bar certain US agricultural products.

Trump is coming after our BBC. He’s suing it for $10 billion, and the Conservatives and Reform are cheering him on.

The BBC must not pay Trump a penny. Instead of rolling over, it should sue Trump back for the lies he’s telling about it.

“If this is the level of shamelessness [Farage’s] media supporters are willing to stoop to when he is a mere fourth party opposition politician, just imagine the levels they will descend to should he ever get a real whiff of power”

It just *must* not happen.

So, they'll be letting Russia compete in 2026 then?

Eurovision supports genocide - boycott it

#BoycottEurovision
Eurovision head: members "have had a full opportunity to debate it.. as we can see from the emphatic result.. Eurovision shouldn't be used as a political theatre"

erm, organisers prevented a vote on excluding Israel. Including a genocidal apartheid regime is a political choice

My problem with boycotting Eurovision is same as last year - I don't think any country whose leaders have outstanding arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court should be allowed to compete.
So both Russia + Israel should be out
Israeli forces all out to win public vote
Can't let them win

Is welfare spending ''out of control''?

Total welfare spending in Britain in 2025-26 is estimated to be 10.8 per cent of GDP.

That's just 0.8 per cent of GDP higher than in 2007-08, and total welfare spending has actually fallen fallen by 1.2 per cent of GDP since 2012-13⤵️
