The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

I’m a community college prof. Canada needs to decide: are community colleges (CC) a public good, like schools and hospitals and roads? Or are they a mine, a source of revenue? And if they are a source of revenue, then we need to admit that tuition is a tax on class mobility. See more:
