I've been dying for a way to bookmark posts. It was definitely my biggest friction with the platform to send myself emails with interesting posts.
v1.108 is rolling out today 🚚

Now live, at long last: Bookmarks, aka Saved Posts. For all those posts you'll definitely plan to come back to!

Update the app and give it a try. The button is right down there 👇

Just received my copy of Mythic Bastionland. What a gorgeous book!

Kickstarters are weird. We buy something that we'll often only get in a year or two time. They're like a gift from past you to present you.

Congratulations and thanks to @bastionland.bsky.social and @oddsbod.bsky.social!

Signed up for ArcaneCon by @arcanesword.bsky.social in November. Excited to get out of my circles and meet other gamers and discover new games.

Your boy (me) got some noms, so once again the Ennies Awards respecter has logged on.
After months of reading, playing, and debating RPGs the 2025 ENNIES nominees are here.

Congrats to this year’s nominees and the countless others who didn’t get nominated but were just as deserving. As always, there were more winners than seats this year.

Hey #ttrpg folks! A couple quick poll-like questions for you:

- What were the first two ttrpgs you played?
- Do you remember either of these games fondly? Do you still play them? Have you outgrown them?

Feel free to reply here or quote post to spread the poll!

I much prefer the old Christmas classics songs to more recent songs. I think the threshold is if the song was recorded at a time where you could smoke in hospitals, it's probably a classic.

One of my favorite thing to do is to intersect different fields or disciplines to get a fresh perspective. In software development, we tend to think of data and behavior as two different things, and they tend to be decoupled as much as possible. 🧵 #TTRPG #OSR

When you select a tutorial to learn a specific concept in web development, and that tutorial starts by installing twelve different packages that all require learning.

Web development is so difficult to get into. It's an orobouros of technologies and concepts.

This is a fantastic article. It put into words my uneasiness with 5E, it's crowd and myself in 2024. 🧵
I wrote a retrospective on D&D 5E after spending ten years playing it. It's split into two parts: the good and the bad. I know you all already have opinions about this game, but maybe my decade spent with it has given me some insights.

Here's part 1: knightattheopera.blogspot.com/2024/11/ten-...
Ten Years (Part 1)
You've probably noticed me blogging a lot more about 5E lately. And if you've read any of that, you'll know I that I have pretty complicated...

Inspired by @dicegoblin.blog's Adventure Calendar, I decided to start a semi-daily series of blog posts called Hexember! Every post will feature an immediately gameable hex with at least two points of interest, and the first one is already live.

Been lurking both the forum for a while. Interesting place for sure!
Just a reminder that I run a Discourse forum for OSR & other Indie RPGs. If you're not up for the ephemeral chat of Discord and you yearn for more long-form discussions, please have a look! It's been quiet for a while but with the death of Twitter I aim to change that.

When your brain is bubbling with ideas, I find that the biggest challenge is sorting these ideas and coalescing them into projects. Sometimes a concept for a project is actually two different games. Sometimes two games should be merged into one project. #TTRPG

This is probably one of my favorite things I have drawn in the past few years. All my D&D characters since I've started playing, except the last one which I created this year. They all had an impact on me in a lot of different ways.

I hope to do the same for the other RPGs I've played.

That's tough. I think this list would probably change from month to month. But at the moment my top 5 #TTRPG would be...

• Traveller
• Burning Wheel
• Cairn
• Electric Bastionlands
• Ultraviolet Grasslands
OMG we're doing all the intro posts but not our own niche! So:
Introduce yourself with your top 5 #TTRPG picks.

Changeling: The Lost
In Nomine (English + French editions)
Secrets of Cats
Sailor Moon Role-Playing Game
Over The Edge

Too many choices really! Already 2nd guessing my list.

I'm Sam!

I worked as a game designer, creative director and now producer in an indie video game studio.

I'm a big enthusiast of TTRPGs, game design and web development. I'm aiming to make my own product somewhere in 2025.

Follow me for a mutual follow. I like seeing what others are up to. #ttrpg
