Nanofabrication is an art. To discover more advanced quantum technologies, we need industrial consistency in academic settings. 🤖
We built a robotic wet-bench for nanofabrication.
At #Stanford, we replaced human hands with a robot for resist development. 1/8

Cool idea, deplete your cavity through a non-linear process, into a band where the mirrors of your cavity transmit. arxiv.org/abs/2510.11965

If the German car industry would focus more on self-driving cars, trucks and public transport that would be an exciting future to look forward too.

Companies suing private persons is one of the situations where jurisdiction fail imo. I wonder if there could be a law that the suing company has to pay for the defense independent of the outcome.

The comedy commentary of the ESC is the reason I come back to this event every Year. It combined the songs with extra entertainment. Now more than 20 years ago. Does it exist in languages beyond German? #esc

Played a little bit with MCP connected to Claude Desktop (modelcontextprotocol.io) during the weekend. I wrote a small python interface to your local #Zotero library. It seems already useful, but some more endpoints could be necessary. #claude

There should be an event on the West Coast, that after fireworks on new year's eve, finishes with public viewing of the new year concert in vienna.

Best market, once a year, for the best experience, you should go very early. A lot of onions, but also great atmosphere to stroll through Bern. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zibelem...

A collection of videos on wave mixing in microwave and optical signals is currently put online by QFARM on YouTube. If you are interested in nonlinear optics or quantum computing, there could be an interesting talk for you. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXsSpNusRq39PKhHkOQklMbGaJkuTB1r-

Wow, Europe is desperate. First for battery technology. I remember the days the European car industry was voting against electric cars.

Seems the AWS Quantum Networking team transformed into a Startup.
Not fully clear to me what challenge this startup is going to solve. My favourite paper of this research collective was their fiber coupling work. https://doi.org/nsw6

Useful starter pack for a start in the optics community.
Back for a little while here, I tried this ‘starter pack’ for photonics & optics people: anyone else can follow up to 50 people at the click of a button: go.bsky.app/QrtPj7R. Put your name below and I will add you to the pack.

RF Connectors more or less on the die. RFSoc DAC up to 80GHz Bandwidth and 256GS/s. Just imagine when this will be consumer ware in 10 years. https://youtu.be/rVJwcZavr9U
