The Star Wars prequels. I'm not a huge fan and entire layers of it are as rubbish as everyone says, but if you wanted a resource to teach kids beat for beat about how authoritarianism creeps in (including largely useless power figures on the left), it's pretty much all there.

There's also a really good monologue from Gene Hackman in Mississippi Burning, which I can't really repeat here, that sums a racist's outlook pretty much to a T. (It's the one involving his father, their neighbour and a mule)

As I heard yesterday on the excellent podcast In Bed With The Right put it so well: the point of fascist politics isn't even to promise to make their voters' lives better; it is only to promise to make their scapegoated group of the moment's lives worse.
