People say I have an "NPR accent" and that when I say f*ck you can hear the "c" and the "k." I write grants, stories, reports, essays, and scripts. I will show you fear in a handful of deadlines. Development Manager with Escape Artists Foundation. He/Him
That was on Schumer. Pelosi seems to have understood the assignment.

He is the de facto party leader. He has screwed up so many times over the past year (not to mention 10) that he should have resigned a long time ago.

If he did not initiate or at least give his consent, he is even worse of a party leader than I thought.

Nevertheless, insiders say you and your colleagues are about to cave and let him do it. After Democrats swept local elections, organized the largest non-violent protest in modern history, and you are still winning the blame game over the shutdown, what message are you sending to the base?

What I loved about both books is that the terror builds slowly and both delivered satisfyingly surprising and horrifying revelations. There are layers of meaning *Buffalo Hunter Hunter* to peel back. The title's (*The Lesser Dead*) meaning only becomes clear at the end and is a horrifying revelation

It opens with Joey warning you not to keep reading if you don't like stories about bad people doing bad things, which feels like a joke, initially, because Joey and his "family" are actually quite wholesome (as much as a group of vampires can be), which itself should make you suspicious.

It's not so much a narrative of revenge as reckoning with American history and how it haunts us today. *The Lesser Dead* is just pure horror. It's as entertaining (the narrator is quite charismatic) as it is unsettling.

If you pay close attention to the details, you can perceive intentional gaping lacuna, intentional misdirection, and little jokes in the contradictions. *Buffalo Hunter Hunter* is a meditative novel that sets the vampire lore in the final, genocidal action of the American Indian Wars.

Both are vampire novels with very different approaches to the genre in style and the mechanics of how the monsters work and both are told by delightfully unreliable narrators.

I hope you're right. There are signs that the right is losing its edge on public education. There's a Pennsylvania school board that was taken over by Moms for Liberty four years ago and all of them were voted out this election.
