If you’re talking about your competitors, you’re not the clear leader.

So, if you have competitors on your home page, even to “prove you’re better than them,” you’re really saying that those other companies already defined the market.

Is that the message you want?

Your product makes other products obsolete, no longer relevant nor desirable.

And others do that to you.

Here’s how to determine where you are, so you can target the right customers with the right message:
Using the Needs Stack for competitive strategy
This simple method positions your product to be more valuable, especially against competitors who aim to disrupt you, or you them.

“Will-power” is difficult and painful to maintain over a long course of time.

Instead, invest in good habits and "rules” you apply thoughtlessly.

Others have said this many times, but it bears repeating!

Is the business profitable if you ignore marketing and sales costs?

If so, “spending to grow” is logical, so long as your growth efficiency is good (e.g. payback period or Magic Number or LTV/CAC).

If not, you have a fundamentally unprofitable company.

A model of human organization should reflect the complexity and capriciousness of real humans, not treat people as fungible worker-units with predictable responses to stimuli.

This is my problem with most “management theory” and most “personalize quizzes.”

If you’re overwhelmed by too many disparate things that have to get done or be fixed at the company…

Write them all down, and realize at least half of them can be done at 30% quality or delayed, even if there’s a penalty.

There are times in life where exploration and novelty is useful, and times when you should focus and execute against things that you already understand.

Like, before and after PMF.
Explore vs Execute
