Green at heart 💚
A good society cares for its children and young people.

A strong society funds public education properly.

A thriving society builds community connections with a chance to feel love and hope.

Let’s build this together.

Governments aren’t screaming about it with urgency.

Placating people isn’t going to solve this corrosion.

Community building will. Tackling inequality will.

When neo-Nazis are marching through the streets, there is no more denying what’s happening.

The time to act is now.

The algorithms feed this prejudice & governments can’t seem to grasp what’s going on.

Meanwhile, if you are migrant, person of colour, or the subject of far-right hatred, then you know the fear these people bring.

They’ve had institutional power on their sides for a long time.

But I don’t think governments still understand the danger of these movements.

The pandemic turbocharged anti-government and anti-authoritarian sentiments.

With digital platforms available to exploit people’s fears, the far-right recruited from a larger base of people.

We have choices to make about the kind of world we want.

And we still have the power to shape it.

We can have a world where we celebrate care & compassion and broadcast kindness and generosity.

So let’s get to work 💚

Imagine, Just imagine.

That instead of a default setting of war, our leaders knew that the world actually wants peace. That instead of exploiting our fears, they appealed to our hope.

Imagine. Just imagine. What a wonderful world we could build.

The type of supply matters.

8000 empty homes in Vic alone tells us something.

It’s not only supply that’s the issue.

It’s the affordability.

It’s time for a public builder to increase the supply of genuinely affordable public homes.

That’s what solves the housing crisis.

Meanwhile, Labor wants to demolish our public housing towers - to make way for more of this failing for-profit model on public land.

This model not working.

The answer is that property corporations will only build housing when it’s profitable to them.

Now they are asking for government handouts to keep making profits.

Meanwhile, 100,000+ people languish on the Vic housing waiting list and 30,000 people are homeless each night.

Not to mention the Murujuga rock art that is tens of thousands of years old that has already been damaged by pollution at the site & will face even more threats now.

This is Labor.

Stomping on First Nations history while destroying the planet’s future.
