Social worker, serving our community.
Green at heart 💚
So proud of our community for showing up in their thousands for peace for Palestinians today ❤️

Too many politicians deride this movement when they feel overwhelmed by their own moral failures.

But history won’t reward the
cowards.

History will remember the courageous.

Great speech Rosalie Woodruff & well done @tasmaniangreens.bsky.social on a great election result so far with more counting to go 💚

The answer is that property corporations will only build housing when it’s profitable to them.

Now they are asking for government handouts to keep making profits.

Meanwhile, 100,000+ people languish on the Vic housing waiting list and 30,000 people are homeless each night.

Our work now is to win it in our own right despite being up against the combined money and might of Labor + Liberals.

What I’m most proud of is the swings in the north.

These historic swings were for Palestine.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help.

You achieved this.

After weeks of counting, the final results for Wills are in.

We achieved a 7.57+ swing to the Greens!

We fell short by 1.5% or 1600 votes, but have narrowed the margin.

It’s never been closer.

And it’s now clear that Labor cannot win Wills without Liberal and One Nation preferences.

Every new coal and gas project makes the climate crisis worse.

And Labor has approved over 30 new coal & gas projects since they got into government.

We know the Liberals want even more, plus nuclear 🤯

We can’t keep voting for the same two parties and expect a different result.

Vote [1] Greens

Early voting is now open!

That means now - right now - you can head down to an early voting centre near you and vote for the change we really need.

VOTE for dental into Medicare. VOTE for rent caps & lower mortgages. VOTE for real climate action. VOTE for justice for Palestine.

It’s up to us.

Early voting opens tomorrow 💚🗳️ This is your chance for change!

If you want more than just tinkering around the edges, Vote 1 Greens.

If you want to keep Dutton out, Vote 1 Greens.

If you want real change when it comes to the cost of living, housing and climate crisis, Vote 1 Greens.

Greens' pressure works!

Labor has adopted our plan to make super market price gouging illegal.

Great turnout at the first climate and environment candidates forum in Wills!

Thanks to ACF and local groups for the hard work to make it happen.

It was disappointing that Labor’s candidate Peter Khalil and the Liberal didn’t attend.

Today, what we have suspected for months was confirmed.

Labor is retreating from public housing in Victoria.

No public housing will be rebuilt at Flemington and North Melbourne.

And it doesn’t take alot to guess what will happen to the remaining 40 sites they’ll bulldoze.

Great to be back chatting to the local community after the holiday break!

We’ve been out in Pascoe Vale and Hadfield over the last few days. Lots of people telling us that cost of living is the biggest worry for them.

And so many want dental into Medicare and to see the GP for free.

Lecturing people and telling them to behave won’t work.

Social cohesion is built from the ground up, guided by collectivity and solidarity.

Labor is losing touch with the lives of culturally diverse communities.

The Australia we arrived to in 1989 felt like a very different place than it does today.

Hawke was prime minister, the nation was talking about its place in Asia and we felt welcomed.

When you are forced from your homelands, the welcome you receive can make or break your life.

For over 12 months, we pursued the Victorian Labor Government about its MoU with Israel.

They responded with contempt and obfuscation.

But pressure works, and the MoU won’t be renewed. It should have been cancelled earlier but it’s a powerful demonstration of people power.
