I never understood why they went with Michael Kidd of all people. He hadn't done a Broadway show since 1980 and his last hit was The Rothschilds (maybe, it ran but I don't know if it recouped)

I just re-read it and it's definitely one of the best SK adaptations, up there with Carrie and Misery

I don't think Merrily will ever really work. The current version is better than the earlier ones, but nobody is especially likeable.

There was a massive restocking holder (?) filled with Christmas products parked right on front of the sale candy. But it was on wheels, so I just pushed out of the way. One guy thanked me. 😇
