@mrjamesob.bsky.social easy and quick win for Starmer - decouple electricity prices from the cost of gas generation. Unit cost of renewables is so much lower than gas. Two days ago 50% of our national electricity consumption was from solar..

The Labour government is such a disappointment - 14 years of hope dashed in a matter of months. The PM seems to go in the wrong direction at every opportunity. On most of the big topics of the day he is a continuation of Tory policy / actions.

And yet as I understand it Reform are gaining in the polls, sounds like this country is heading for even more polarisation. Of course if the country wasn't subjected to rancid far right propaganda continuously we'd just rejoin and that would be that.

Ok folks, deep breaths.

There is very real reason to worry about the dynamic emerging between Washington and Moscow when it comes to Ukraine. But there is also very real reason to believe that Ukraine and Europe can create a better outcome.
