What we’re experiencing isn’t mass derangement, it’s a crisis of American elites. American elites have become unwilling to make or defend basic factual assertions if they collide with political narratives spread by far-right forces, especially online.

This new logo has made me think of this old Quartz piece. The thing is that the sovereignty AES countries are aspiring to cannot leave behind colonial tropes. Because their conceptualisation of the state is intrinsically colonial. You may argue that the logo does represent people, but look at them
