The next generation of magazine fact checkers is born.
Two years ago I had lunch with the dean of a department at one of Toronto’s major universities and she told me she had instructed all her profs teaching first-year classes to do exactly this. It sounded sensible and I wonder if it’s now more widely applied

I really didn't think Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries could look more out of touch. Then the president just exchanged friendship bracelets with Zohran.

This is vile. Jamal Khashoggie was an American journalist who was brutally killed and dismembered by MBS for being critical of the regime.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

That's right. This is too little too late. Just lay out a vision of a country everyone aspires to live in- where kids are safe, educated, and well. Where families can afford homes and food and live in dignity. Where people can realize their potential. Look forward and stop litigating the past.
He’s never going to be president, thx
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25

On Tuesday, Americans sent Democrats a resounding message.

“Fight for us”

“Fight for working class Americans”

“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”

5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.

“Nah”

It’s a helluva “flex” to lie about Thanksgiving dinner being cheaper when you’re literally letting 42 million people starve.

I don't know what conservative feminism is. I'm guessing he doesn't either. I wonder who in the world who isn't already MAGA would be convinced by this stuff?

Stunning lack of self-awareness.
The US Army was telling active duty soldiers to get food from food banks in Germany. They removed it.

WE aren't socialist, but certainly willing to mooch off other nations socialist programs.

PATHETIC.

Big tent definition right here.
"Do you think the Democratic Party should follow the lead of Abigail Spanberger or Zohran Mamdani?"

What if I told you that Democrats have different audiences in different parts of the country which require different messaging and it's okay for Democrats to tailor their messaging to beat the GOP?

Trump bungled China policy so badly he had to run to Xi to beg forgiveness and surrender. Everyone knows it. In the "deal", America gets nothing, not even a return to status quo.

Trump has now totally abandoned his promise to "get tough" on China.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
