I will continue to advocate for Veterans in my community and in our Commonwealth by ensuring they have the best services and benefits that they need and deserve.

I also want to thank the Healey-Driscoll Administration for highlighting the Island End Coastal Resilience Project, which my colleagues and I have spent years working to secure $22 million in funding, as a model project for tackling the most pressing climate change risks coming our way.

I want to thank Community Labor United and all the advocates, parents, and childcare providers who came to the State House to advocate for this critical proposal. I will not stop fighting for this legislation until it is passed into law.

My bill would increase access to childcare for parents, raise wages for providers currently paid far too little, and reduce the strain on our state's childcare facilities.

Thanks to this program, and the free lunch program I helped pass into law, I hope parents will have some comfort knowing that their child will always get breakfast and lunch in school for free, even if the federal government cuts food security programs like we are seeing now.

BAB changed how breakfast is delivered to our students, removing stigma, and guaranteeing all our children, regardless of family income, can get critical nutrients every single school day.

An average of over 85,000 more children participated in school breakfast every day in March 2025 than in March 2019 before the program began.

Workers cannot wait another 2 years for us to pass this commonsense proposal. I want to thank the Massachusetts AFL-CIO and all the advocates who are supporting my bill and standing up for workers across our state.
