I recently spoke at a lobby day for my bill, S.341, An Act expanding access to family, friend and neighbor-provided childcare. Every family in our state will need childcare at some point and this bill presents a rare win-win-win solution.

Passing Breakfast After the Bell (BAB) into law 5 years ago is one of my proudest legislative achievements and this program is proving to be increasingly relevant today. I am pleased to share that this legislation has been extremely successful in Massachusetts.

I was proud to testify in support of my bill preventing wage theft, S.1300. It is indefensible that we allow businesses and contractors to prey on hard working residents year after year, and it is past time that we pass this bill to hold law breaking employers accountable.
