@atp.fm But you don’t need to update your primary phone to 26 - I did my iPad, Vision Pro and Macs but the phone will resolutely remain on 18 for the foreseeable. Good on @siracusa.social in abstaining 👍🏼

Can’t tell what’s new in tvOS 26, but then I only use the Apple TV approx. once a month 😀

@marcoarment.bsky.social @liss.bsky.social @johnsiracusa.bsky.social I hate you all….for getting me into UniFi hardware. Starting off small and considering the cameras, doorbell and maybe even the UNAS. I can see a potential use for the U7 Pro XGS and also getting some kit for family too.

Old men who smear shoe polish on their face and dye their elaborate comb over bright yellow are usually sharp as a tack and very much on the ball.

Apparently the GCSE exams will be scaled back and replaced with coursework due to stress on pupils 🤔

Is it just me that has turned off Apple Intelligence - doesn’t add value aka it’s shit and I don’t need or want Genmoji/Image Playground nonsense.

Silo S2 was a tough watch - didn’t give a shit about Juliette’s storyline at all. Was ready to give this up and skip S3 but the S2 ending is intriguing enough to keep me around.

Too late.

Everyone will be used to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or CoPilot long before this *eventually* comes out.

I’ll stick with my ChatGPT subscription and free Perplexity Pro from O2 UK.

The Vision Pro experience is not as great if you need varifocal (progressive) prescription inserts. The centre is sharp but I guess the boundary between near and far vision is fixed by Zeiss, whereas with a traditional optician, they can remake the lenses if it’s not correct (for you).

Some really great packs here!
Thread with some of my favorite "starter packs" so I can pin it to my feed. Can't vouch for every single follow in these packs, but overall I've been pretty happy with them.

Apple Vision Pro - not sure about the productivity features (although the UW Mac Virtual Display is very nice), but a great way to watch films.

Used it to/from Dubai and it was fantastic.
