On a day meant to memorialize those who have been murdered as as a result of transphobia, Rep. Nancy Mace has decided to honor Trans Day of Remembrance by trying to ban transwomen from using bathrooms on all federal property.

A uniquely bigoted choice, IMO.

He and Nancy Mace team up on their transphobia ahead of the arrival of the first openly trans member of Congress, Sarah McBride.

Some big coat mornings are arriving, and unfortunately there are a lot of folks in our community that don't have a warm winter coat.

If you'd like to help us with Trav's Coats For Kids by donating coats, you can find more info on the when and where here: www.newson6.com/coats

For Transgender Day of Remembrance, we'll be sharing tributes to the transgender people we know of whose lives have been taken due to anti-transgender violence. It should be noted that these crimes often are misreported, go underreported, or are not reported at all. #TDOR

Advocates in Oklahoma are pushing to open the state's primary system. Doing so would help ensure that independent voters - who have nearly doubled their numbers since 2012 - have more more say in choosing who represents their interests. 🧵 1/

It's OK Statehood Day. Admitted in 1907, the credit is owed to the Sequoyah Constitutional Convention, who sought statehood for Indian Territory. A GOP president & Congress blocked it, favoring white settlers in Oklahoma Territory and forcing a merger that hurt tribal sovereignty. #OklahomaBlueDot 🔵
