Why would the President meet with (and allow into the country) a head of state who refuses to return a person sent to their custody in error?
Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

Last April I noticed a few people jumped from an EV startup I cover to something called "Slate."

There was basically no public info about the company. Its website was even more bare-bones than the one that exists today.

But we quickly got a tip: Bezos is involved.

This is fucking humiliating
President Trump's nominee to head NASA, Jared Isaacman, really really really really really did not want to admit that Elon Musk was in his meeting with Trump, when Isaacman was offered the NASA post. This ranks up there as some of the worst testimony that I have ever seen on Capitol Hill.

“It’s critical that journalists who cover the presidency—and the Americans who rely on their coverage to stay informed—get unfiltered information free from government control,” Eugene Daniels, president of the WHCA, said in response www.status.news/p/white-hous...
The Pool Filter
Some White House pool reports are no longer making it to the official distribution list, Status has learned—an unsettling development in the Trump administration's escalating war on the press.

Data about your driving often ends up in the hands of companies that use it to influence insurance premiums & auto loan terms. “There’s just a sea of data floating around and there are very few safeguards about how and where it’s shared,” says Michael DeLong, @consumerfed.bsky.social

NEW: I helped Brian Krebs trace the background of one of Elon Musk's top loyalists, Branden Spikes, head of IT at X, who spent 2 mo at DOGE. Spikes and his ex-wife were involved with Russian diaspora websites and groups linked to pro-Kremlin KSORS players, Russian state media while he was at SpaceX.
