I unfortunately use the pharmacy at target cuz it’s the closest CVS, where my meds are cheapest. I’ll change this at my next appt, but I certainly won’t be shopping when I pick up my scripts

A coalition of State Senators just sent a letter to Nebraska’s federal delegation demanding answers about Elon Musk’s unprecedented, unchecked power in the federal government. His control over key agencies raises serious ethical, security, and constitutional concerns. 1/

No one should comply with this order. It is censorship. #Trump is a tin-pot dictator and this is garbage. insidemedicine.substack.com/p/breaking-n...
BREAKING NEWS: CDC orders mass retraction and revision of submitted research across all science and medicine journals. Banned terms must be scrubbed.
Any unpublished manuscript mentioning certain topics, including gender and "LGBT," must be pulled or revised.

If you weren’t clear: a President ordering a Federal health and disease agency to delete pages on its website is a public health crisis.

WIC. They are pausing WIC.

That's the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Last time I checked (a while ago), every dollar spent on WIC produced over a dollar in savings *in the same fiscal year.* For most people, though, feeding infants and mothers is enough.
Broader agreement that it to applies to discretionary spending payments (Head Start, WIC, etc).

I preemptively removed my pronouns from my email sig in 2023 when Piggy Pillen made an executive order that Nebraska only recognized two genders. I think I’ll add them back out of spite now.
This is becoming absurd—federal employees are now being told to remove pronouns from their email signatures. We will always stand by our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, no matter how many things we’re asked to delete or change. Inclusivity is at the core of who we are.

Using this definition of male and female is wild because no one has “reproductive cells” at conception. The genitalia do not form until 6-8 weeks after conception.

It is dangerous and simply inexcusable to bury these reports. This information belongs to the public. As taxpayers, we pay for public health experts to research and compile all these reports so that we can have prompt and timely information about public health threats that could harm us.
“The CDC was scheduled to publish several MMWR reports this week, including three about the H5N1 avian influenza virus outbreak, according to one federal health official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share internal discussions.”
Trump officials pause health agencies’ communications, citing review
The agencies are charged with making decisions that touch the lives of every American and are the source of crucial information to health-care providers.
