Only found out my medication was removed from my insurance’s formulary when I called to confirm my order. It was removed July 1st and they said they “thought” they left me a voicemail. Now I have to scramble to see my doctor and find a new medication with the risk that my condition might flare up.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

All while cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthy, and massively increasing the deficit.

The fear among academics and lawyers now talking on the record on just about any topic that involves the federal government or the White House is really extraordinary and worrisome, and getting worse, it seems to me, every week. Dissent by an establishment figures becoming verboten in the US

I was a social security recipient from the age of 12 through 18. That’s not some weird thing or corruption. It’s called survivors’ benefits. You don’t have to know this. You’re blessed if you don’t. But if you’re going to speak publicly abt the program you need to know this.

NEW: Trump is trying to use a long-dormant immigration law associated with the most shameful periods of US history to force undocumented people to register, making it easier to carry out his mass deportations.

I’ll be introducing legislation to stop him.

Let me explain.🧵

The anti-vaxx movement is functionally an anti-daycare movement.

Without mass vaccination, daycare will become a deadly risk.

Families who can afford to will hire nannies, or have a parent (almost always the mother) forego income and a career.

Measles has a 12% mortality rate in unvaccinated young children.

Children cannot be vaccinated until they are at least 12 months old.

And if infants need to be kept home and out of daycare to avoid potentially fatal measles outbreaks...

Guess who that removes from the workforce.

(Women.)
In 3 days, the number of measles cases in a highly unvaccinated area of Texas has doubled. There are now 48 cases, all of whom are unvaccinated, and 13 of whom have been hospitalized so far, for a hospitalization rate of 27%. This is huge figure in epidemiology. This outbreak will keep spreading.
