The consensus is that Orobanche should include those plants that were once placed in Aphyllon, Loxanthes, Orobanchella, etc. Some botanists may disagree.

Taxonomist by training here, so I could bang on about this topic for days! 😜

How much to ICE?
Remember the first few months of this year, when all we talked about was DOGE and spending cuts and waste, and this administration gutted USAID?

And now they’re giving $40 billion (!) to Argentina.

Insane the amount of amnesia in this country and in our politics and media.

We're the wealthiest nation on earth. We don’t need “austerity” or tax breaks for billionaires.

We need policies that benefit working families, not just the 1%.

NOW is the time to EXPAND health care, INVEST in public education and BUILD low-income and affordable housing.

I also voted NO on the full bill which includes this appropriation.

So a lot of people are being reactive to things they aren’t reading fully.

Found a big patch of Galium (Cal native) among endless non-native invasive species today. Common name "Bedstraw"; it used to be used as matress stuffing because it kept its shape.
