For the last few years I have looked after a City of Edmonton shrub bed as part of Partners in Parks. I didn’t have the time to sofas this year but I am so pleased to see the native plants doing okay!

Just listened to another wonderfully made episode of @16sunsets.bsky.social. It is so interesting to hear the story of the space shuttle told by the people who designed, built, maintained and crewed that amazing machine. Highly recommend this podcast for anyone interested in space and technology.

What a wonderful way to communicate the story of this article.
1/9 When news around the world seems grim, it was a delight when our team decided to do a story about “cozy games”. My journey from a non-gamer to illustrating/designing an entire cozy game provided a cathartic escape to a charming world.👇Here’s a glimpse of how it was made: reut.rs/4gcizuV

Support a great local bookstore with this app.
In case #booksky didn't know, Libro is great and also is doing this cool promo... If you're new there, make sure to link to your fave indie bookstore so they can earn while you listen.

This would be so cool. I hope the Edmonton Public Library is on board.
We are launching a pilot program with AB libraries this year - you can sign out a "bat kit" that has an "echometer touch" unit & tablet so you can listen to bats at night. This is a "bat detector" that converts high frequency sounds into something audible to our ears. We will post abt it!Stay tuned!

Hopefully, the CFL will honour Maven’s request and use her chosen name in the record books.

I also hope the Edmonton Elks will host and invite Maven to a special Pride Night game this year.
