I worry that Trump’s latest partial climbdowns, pathetic & insincere as they are, will bolster Downing Street’s arguments for keeping him sweet when it’s surely time to go full Mark Carney.

The minds that cheered at a lynching still exists .
The minds that stripped and murdered the inmates at Auschwitz still exist. The minds that beat gay men to death and hanged women as witches still exist.
We hoped we’d moved on, changed , but it is increasingly clear this was a liberal delusion.

New - Nigel Farage has been found by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to have made 17 standards breaches, adding up to over £380,000 in late declarations.

He’s apologised, so no further investigation (which seems unusual for a breach this large)

Another woman killed by the Texas GOP. Tierra Walker knew that abortion was illegal in Texas, but she thought that hospitals could make an exception for patients like her, whose health was clearly on the line. At 20 weeks pregnant, she died of preeclampsia.
Women With High-Risk Pregnancies Have Limited Options Under Abortion Bans
Our reporting has found that abortion bans generally don’t include exceptions that cover health concerns pregnant women with chronic conditions can face — or if they do, doctors aren’t using them.

Can MAGA tech firm Palantir be trusted to run Britain's data?
It's wildly overvalued, politically extreme and puts Trump first – but somehow has £1bn of deals to run Britain's tech infrastructure
