Maximum effort! On this week’s The Good, The Bad, and The What #podcast, listen to us discuss three mid-to-late aughts high-octane action films with CRANK (2006), SHOOT ‘EM UP (2007), and WANTED (2008). Very much of their era. Fun and cringe in equal measure! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

This may be the worst thing I’ve read this week, which is saying something: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
Ryan Reynolds Remaking 1970s Crime Movie ‘Thunderbolt and Lightfoot’ for Amazon MGM (Exclusive)
The original starred Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges, and hailed from 'Deer Hunter' director Michael Cimino.

Happy Halloween! On this week’s
The Good, The Bad, and The What #podcast, we discuss three Halloween-set, largely single-location banger slashers with 1988’s HOLLOW GATE, 1991’s HAUNTEDWEEN, and 2007’s MURDER PARTY. Give it a listen if you dare! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

I was looking at JustWatch to see if a film I’m looking to program early next year was streaming anywhere, and noticed that the app now includes where to purchase the films on disc. I don’t want to oversell it, but this feels like a big win for physical media.

Could we please have an opposition party who actually opposes this fascistic administration instead of just lobbing empty-gesture tweets and letters? Democracy is literally on the line here.

One thing that’s rarely talked about is that Disney still holds theaters to a three-week minimum, including all of the regional, one-screen, family-oriented theaters. And lately, at least a few theaters I know who used to run seemingly every Disney film, are just flat-out refusing to play that game.
Disney’s sci-fi sequel “Tron: Ares” opened to a disappointing $33.5 million this weekend, falling short of projections of $45 million to $50 million.

For comparison, 2010’s “Tron: Legacy” debuted to $44 million (not adjusted for inflation).

The Yankees losing is a cause for celebration regardless, but it’s extra sweet this year seeing their Trump boot-licking asses get handed to them by the one Canadian team.

Anyone else find it odd that we have at least three theaters in the Seattle area with 70mm capability (Cinerama, AMC Pacific Place, and Cinemark Bellevue Lincoln Square) and none of them are showing ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER on that format?
