I’ll do my best to be open-minded; I think LLMs/AI tools are powerful with the potential to be very useful, but I’m constantly fighting the urge to be negatively polarized against it due to overly credulous pieces comparing it to animal cognition, which read mostly like marketing to me…

Can’t speak to the whole piece, but without context, this sentence alone seems to be conflating different types and mechanisms of predictive processing, Bayesian brain stuff, error correction, and Hebbian learning.
