Artsy being from another planet. Possibly a cephalopod, but definitely not a mammal.

PSA: Blocking people isn't censorship, it's deciding that you don't want to stand next to that asshole at a party. Yes, I will simply block you if you're an asshole.
Corporate cable news has the same worth as dog shit on your font lawn. It's primary purpose is to piss people off and make them hate their neighbors.

Well, and to make money off of you. There's also that.

Cuts to government organizations like the NWS and NOAA will cost people their lives. These idiotic cuts will cause devastation that will cost American taxpayers millions in disaster relief. People lose their homes, jobs and loved ones, and it's the fault of this administration.

A Florida weatherman telling his viewers he can no longer be confident in his forecasts due to cuts to atmospheric science is the kind of resistance content I’m here for.

Kudos, Sir.🌦️

RFK is using debunked conspiracy theories to justify invading patient personal data. This is a huge violation of our privacy by a useless crackpot POS who needs to be removed from office NOW!

Don't let these assholes get away with this!

Gregg is a former Marine and Forest Service ranger. He's saved the lives of hikers dangling off a cliff or going through cardiac arrest, and he's bravely fought forest fires to save small rural towns.

Elon fired him. Share his story.

Mad respect to Sheryl Crow! Not only get rid of her Tesla but she donated the proceeds to NPR, an organization I support and listen to nearly every day.

Currently working on artwork at my neighborhood library. Looking around, there are at least 40-50 people perusing shelves, using computers, reading or studying. Tell me again how people don't use libraries anymore..

We are about to enter an era of extreme and dangerous culture war in the United States. How do we protect our communities and work toward a cultural ceasefire? In this piece I wrote a couple months ago, I offer one possible path. wapo.st/40q1BDn
Opinion | Libraries can help end the culture wars. That’s why they’re under fire.

In a world that is increasingly anti-intellectual and anti-education, one of the most defiant acts you can commit is to make education, learning, curiosity and creativity at priority in your life. Don't let ignorance, narrow-mindedness, anti-education and misinformation win. #education #progress

I love this idea. These are the heroes our world needs. One of the most fascinating aspects of fungi is the mycorrhizal relationship certain species develop with other organisms. Even better when they are edible fungi!!

Saw someone upbraiding someone else for having a hobby while the world is on fire, and, my friends:

1. The world is ever on fire, this is today's conflagration;

2. If you don't find time for rest and joy the fire will consume you;

3. Don't let people shame you for being an entire human.

I struggle with subscription models. Many online services rely on ad revenue, the evils of which should be obvious by now. Alternately, with so many subscriptions to pay, users enter into what I call "subscription hell" where we are bled dry just to use services. We need more alternatives.
