I think it’s time for me to start Death Stranding 2. But I have other games I want to get back to or finish — GBA Fire Emblem, Valkyria Chronicles, Atelier Sophie 2; and some others I’d like to start —Yakuza 0 replay, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. Too many games, too little time!

I say this as someone who enjoyed Scarlet/Violet despite the technical issues and absolutely adores Legends Arceus. I think they should just go back to 2D games because 3D is that much of a struggle with what’s invested into these games.
Finished Pokémon Legends Z-A and aside from a couple system tweaks and a fun combat system, it was not very good or fun. Traversal was ass and the setting was boring. It just need more variety and a more engaging story.

It’s been a stellar year for games, no doubt about it. Sadly, I’ve only played 2 of these and completed 1. I just can’t keep up. But then again I’m not trying very hard. 😂

Storming a beach with infantry and tanks? Chapter 11 of Valkyria Chronicles most definitely got its inspiration from D-Day. Time for pain. 😭

I watched M3GAN last night and it was amazing. It was so much more than a murderous doll. It had great themes around grief and attachment, illustrated the pitfalls of tech & AI — a horror in its own right. The tension throughout was immaculate and it was a parody at times but that was the point.

I’ve been a long time Pokémon fan but the combo of Scarlet/Violet and Z-A are testing the limits of my enjoyment of these games… Fun with great character designs but absolute trash stories and visuals. We deserve better. TPC needs to invest more in Gamefreak.

Finally fought the coolest character in Legends Z-A, Lebanne. I love it when a character lets loose and their personality changes.

Before and after of my PC setup. Loving the new ultra wide but it’s going to be an adjustment because I’ve been dual screen since 2017. The high res really helps though because you get way more real estate than you’d think.

Based on the promo pics of Welcome to Derry I was NOT expecting that ending to episode 1, holy shit! I loved it but part of me worries about how it will continue because I liked where I thought it was going.

Finished Ghost of Yotei the other day and all I can say is what a game. Amazing in every aspect. The story was a bit predictable so it didn’t hit as hard as Tsushima but it was still powerful and a fantastic time.

Picked up the AYN Thor and can’t wait to play some retro games like Megaman Legends. Playing 3DS games at higher res will be great too. 😌
