Anecdotally in my neighborhood (Greenpoint) it went from what appered to be an elder-millennial/Gen X majority to an under-30 majority from Feb. 2020 to Summer 2021. Seemingly overnight.

My son’s grandparents were from modern-day Ukraine but were native Polish speakers.

Czech is like this - standard written Czech was essentially invented by Josef Dobrovský in the 19th century to give the various (dying!) Slavic dialects a national identity outside of German. They even brought back archaic features like dual number and all the cases etc

I've had to argue with people about this - Tomatoes canned in CA have citric acid listed on the label, while those canned in Italy don't. It's because EU labeling standards are less strict than ours, not because Italian tomatoes don't have preservatives!

I don’t get it either but it’s not just an age thing. There’s a lot on here too unfortunately. And in NYC I’ve seen it irl on subway ads. Someone even scrawled “AI Slop” on a poster I see all the time.

Urgent care has it and the cutoff for one reason is 1968 - but even if you were vaccinated later it could fade over time. I was born in 72 and vaccinated sometime in the 70s but I couldn’t find my record and my immunity was below what it should be after so many years in a blood test.
