I never understood the argument that #congestionpricing would hurt businesses. Nobody is driving to businesses in Manhattan. It’s very satisfying seeing all the data supporting this very logical policy.

I had thought TikTok was safe from this being foreign-owned. It could be the result of the massive volume of right-wing ragebait we know the right funded. But lesson learned to always question the algorithm.

I went to my first instagram “museum” with my brother and his family and… the pictures are better the memory? It’s such a reflection of our time. My nephew loved it but I craved more information and could not help but explaining to him how RGB color works.

Allison Bechdel was so ahead of her time here writing about trans bathroom paranoia in 1994. I learned so much from her moral compass when I was a teenager.
This is from 1995. We meet the character of Jillian in 1994, as she lobbies Mo for trans and bi inclusion in the local lesbian writers’ series. She also had strips as early as 1992 with misc "transgender contra dancing" in background on a local coffee shop flyer.

I *really* want to leave meta but it’s hard when everyone I know is on Instagram. Specifically opening the door to homophobic hate was a personal invite to leave tho

They keep pointing to X as an example of their hands-off “more speech” goal, but analysis by FT to Sep ‘24 shows a pretty marked decline in users from 2022.
