Canadian theological schools made out pretty well in this round. Atlantic, Heritage, Knox, VST, and Northwest, along with their collaborators, all landed multi-million dollar funding deals from Lilly.

Hahahah, at least part of that is a concern for job security but you're also not entirely wrong.

Depends who you ask, I guess. I have at least one degree in systematic theology, but I had a German student in my phd program inform me that what I was doing wasn't theology at all, so who knows?
