Corpus study looking at the sentiment associated with the words “normal, “ordinary,” “average,” “reasonable,” etc.

“Average” is sometimes used to say something positive, sometimes to say something negative. “Normal” is almost always positive

Christmas eve, supposed to be spending it with my family, and to be finally taking a day off after months of working weekends. But instead, I find myself stuck in the airbnb trying to crack a ridiculous job market.... Hoping Santa has got a TT job in his sleigh for me.

This is super interesting. As a undergraduate, I was almost put off philosophy, as I didn't have the clear-cut intuitions that seemed to be expected of me (e.g. XYZ and H20). In fact, that's one reason why I turned to X-Phi. I wonder if this is similar for other experimental philosophers?
Why do we find opposing intuitions about philosophical questions?

I argue that recent results suggest a new picture:

- It’s mostly NOT about different people having different intuitions

- It’s about individual people having CONFLICTING INTUITIONS
