A century ago, 16 March 1925, @evertonfc.com spent £3000 to secure W.R. Dean’s arrival from Tranmere Rovers. Five days later, his Blues debut was at Highbury. He went on to score an incredible 383 goals in 433 EFC matches. A legend in his own lifetime; Dixie will never be forgotten.

Did anyone go to this? There was a sellout 53804 fans at Goodison for the Jan 1981 derby match (which wasn’t live on tv), but there was a live beamback at 4 locations that afternoon - the old Liverpool Stadium, the Odeon on London Road, the ABC on Lime Street & the ABC on Southport.

You know what would be great for the 3rd event at the new stadium? Everton Legends vs Moyes XI. The legends could be anyone from the 80s & 90s who can still ‘go’, & the Moyes XI could be drawn from his 2002-2013 & current spells as manager. I think that would be very entertaining & a crowd pleaser.
