Clarification: Ndiaye’s 2 game ban is only for CAF games.
I don't think that's the case. From the BBC article ...

"The bans for Thiaw and the four players relate to Caf matches only and will not impact preparation for the World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico"

As things stand, we will have had 6 PL home games held on weekday nights this season, nearly a 1/3 of all PL home games.
If Chelsea reach the Carabao Cup Final, that will become a 7th weekday night PL home game. LFC & Man City home games yet to be confirmed too.
This is a great point. I really do think there should be a maximum number of weekday night PL home games allowed (4/5?) so that matchgoing fans arent getting penalised in favour of armchair tv fans. This should be something EFC pushes for.

Exactly, 30mins unfortunately doesn’t change anything. This feels like something the club needs to address and fan groups need to get involved

Surely the should be an agreement that only so many games can be hosted at night, Everton, Leeds & United aren’t in Europe so should have less night games

KDH said it & he’s only been here a few months. Give the fans something - a tackle, pass, press, goal or real effort & we will make that noise & we do make that noise. GP was not the cauldron some blue tinted glass wearers claim but it could be & was when we got the effort KDH refers to.

Probably best to give the Seagull impersonation a miss with Kavanagh as ref.
A trip to the south coast awaits. ✊

As things stand, unless Senegal arrange another pre-World Cup friendly game (which is likely) he’ll miss Senegal’s 1st game in the World Cup. Currently slated to miss a friendly vs USA on May 31st & their first World Cup group game vs France on June 16th.
Ndiaye banned for two international games after the AFCON final. One of only two players to face disciplinary procedures.

You mean the Mighty Leeds & their stadium expert fans are going to miss out on one of their targets? 😭
Crystal Palace are close to reaching a verbal agreement to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves.

Palace want to strengthen their attack before the winter transfer window shuts and Strand Larsen has emerged as their top target.

With Napoli out of the CL, they might be open to transfers between now & the window closing. Lukaku on loan?🤔
January 28, 2026 at 9:58 PM
Chelsea reaching the CL Round of 16 means that even if Chelsea reach the Carabao Cup Final, our home game vs them can’t be rearranged for the midweek beforehand (as they’re the CL Round of 16 dates).
January 28, 2026 at 9:57 PM
Napoli just brought Lukaku on & the commentator said he was making his 800th career appearance! He’s only 32, that’s pretty amazing when you think about it.
