It’s ten years since we took these matchday images at St Luke’s church hall. Great memories of visits from Pat VDH, John Bailey & Peter Reid. Lovely to see former EFCHS members Paul Wharton & Billy Smith in these.
We’ll be at our new matchday base on Fulton Street on 29 Nov.

uncovered the sad truth.
Please watch our new film by @mikeroyden.bsky.social & @lewisroyden.bsky.social about Roose’s remarkable life.

On this day, 95 years ago, the Toffees had a trip to Millwall’s Den in the Second Division. It ended with a 3-1 win for the Merseysiders, with Stein, Dunn & Wilkinson in the goals.

Born on this day in 1893, Jack Cock.
The colourful Cornishman, who fancied himself as a music hall entertainer, preceded Dixie Dean as the Toffees’ centre-forward. He also served in combat in WW1.

At Everton for less than one season, Leigh Roose’s adventurous, extrovert style of goalkeeping left a huge impression. It was a short but eventful chapter in a remarkable but truncated life, described by @mikeroyden.bsky.social (filmed by @lewisroyden.bsky.social ):

Wishing our former player James McCarthy a fantastic 35th birthday. James was part of a powerful midfield with Gareth Barry from 2013, onwards. Sadly, injury impacted his later EFC career. It was great to see him back in royal blue at @evertonstadium.com in August.

Celebrating his 65th birthday, today, the Blues’ most successful skipper, Kevin Ratcliffe. The former youth player became the 5th-highest appearance maker for the Toffees. At his peak, the Welsh centre-back appeared to be unbeatable for pace.
Have a great day, Skipper!
