The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.

The system is broken.

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

The ACLU represented John Scopes in the famous academic freedom trial of 1925, when he was arrested for violating a Tennessee law prohibiting the teaching of evolution in public schools.

100 years later, classroom censorship is at an all time high.

100 years after John Scopes was convicted of teaching evolution, education is again on trial • Ohio Capital Journal
A century ago, John T. Scopes was convicted of violating a Tennessee law that forbade the teaching of evolution in public schools. Public education is once again under siege from a sustained effort by Christian Nationalists to blur the line between church and state.

We now have a concentration camp in Florida.

Stop pretending any of this is normal.

If you claim to be a good person and you're not outwardly opposing this regime, you're not a good person.

The U.S. Senate is currently considering a budget reconciliation bill that quietly includes language that could devastate our public lands. It would:
- Make over 250 million acres of public land eligible for sale
- Mandate the sale of at least 2 million acres of Forest Service and BLM land

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they? Hello?
