Officially moth-obsessed, also easily distracted by birds, butterflies, flies, wasps and spiders. Musically devoted to an (un)holy trinity of Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen.
Not at all jealous of that Scarce Umber, honestly! Seriously, a good result, well done!

What an amazing year Debbie! Marbury is clearly a moth hot-spot & you have had some real beauties!

I think there were actually two present in the garden, as it flew off it was joined by another butterfly that seemed to fly out of the apple tree, though it could have been sitting in the ivy. It was dark like a Peacock, but could also have been a Red Admiral.

Hope there’s some left to end up in your garden!

Well, at least your expectations are grounded on past experiences!

Interesting about the Dark-barred Twin-spot Carpet, I will await others’ views before adding it to my ‘unusual generations’ list.

It stayed fairly dry here with only a short shower around 9pm.

Scarce Umber is what I was hoping for last night, needless to say it never materialised.

I’ve averted him for the time being with a November Moth agg though I can’t say it fills me with much joy
November 12, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Think he’s gearing up for a visit to me! 😆

Have you ever been to Bangor Pier? You can get great views of them there.

Such gorgeous little birds

If there isn’t any Oak in your garden then I’m not sure it does count but if there is Oak then it’s fine to assume the leaves came from there (I am assuming my mines on Birch came from my tree even though the neighbours have one too)

Thanks 🤞

I’ve not trapped for a week so am feeling withdrawal symptoms 😆 probably setting myself up for a disappointment tho’

A bit breezy here but otherwise good.

Looks good to me Dave!

Well done Clive. I am a bit of a wimp about wet traps, hate having to dry everything off, so I probably miss out on stuff.
